VERB + རྒྱུ་

SOMETHING TO SELL / THE WOOD FOR MAKING
Verb + རྒྱུ་ + ཡོད། / མེད།
Before a noun : Verb + རྒྱུའི་ + Noun
  • རྒྱུ་ can take the place of ཡག་ when the verb describes a thing : Verb + རྒྱུ་ + ཡོད། says that you have something to do with it (ཅ་ལག་ཚོང་རྒྱུ་ག་རེ་ཡོད། “what goods are there to sell ?”).
  • Before a noun, Verb + རྒྱུའི་ describes it : བཟོ་རྒྱུའི་ཤིང་ “the wood for making”, འགྲོ་རྒྱུའི་འཆར་གཞི་ “a plan to go”.
  • With ཡོད་མ་རེད། the sentence is usually advice, “should not” : see the card “ONE SHOULD NOT…”. The same two uses built with ཡག་ are on the cards “THERE IS SOMETHING TO DO…” and “A KNIFE FOR CUTTING, A PLAN TO GO…”.
